Cardano Observes First Interim Governance Voting 🗳️

A few weeks before the advent of Chang hard fork, the Cardano community started voting to elect three interim constitutional committee members from a candidate pool of 21.
ADA holders can vote for their favourite candidates by 23rd June (As of 21:45 UTC). Visit the Intersect MBO website and connect your ADA wallet to cast your votes for up to six candidates. This voting initiative is powered by the Summon platform, a no-code governance project for DAOs.

While talking to the Thinking Crypto Podcast, the IOG chief Charles Hoskinson stated that we are doing the biggest upgrade of the blockchain industry. It is the most meaningful hard fork of Cardano, bringing on-chain governance. He also emphasised scalability strategy, using zero-knowledge rollups and partner-chain collaboration.
The previous week, Intersect MBO also shared Chang hard fork timelines. Cardano Twitter celebrated this development, updating that Chang hard fork is coming with its viable upgrades in the early next quarter.

Quarterly revenue & TVL recorded a significant surge ⬆️

Cardano's revenue increased by 44% in the last quarter, partly due to a 7% uptick in the price of ADA coin, quarter on quarter. In March, the total value locked (TVL) in Cardano surpassed $500 million, clocking a yearly high.

A new DeFi protocol Axo and a fiat-backed stablecoin USDM were launched or nearing mainnet, while existing ones like Indigo and Minswap continued to grow. Key components of Cardano's technology, such as SanchoNet, Hydra, and Mithril, remained in active development and testing.

Emerging Cardano Governance: Intersect, a member-based organisation, initiated a grants program to enhance governance features. Among the initial grant recipients are projects focusing on educational resources and a platform for DRep. Read the complete report, here!
