On August 23, Intersect, a member-based organization, will take a final call on “go/no go” with the Chang hard fork on the 27th of August. Meanwhile, Cardano Node version 9.1.0 has been implemented on over 85% of nodes, clocking 86% of blocks minting at the time of writing.

In other updates, the Cardano development arm Input|Output Global showcased the Hydra Doom game at the Rare Evo event, using the Cardano-scaling layer. Hydra is expected to achieve 1M transactions per second. Cardano Codex Roadshow has so far covered 5 Indian cities, attracting nearly 1000 developers and non-tech Web3 enthusiasts. Consequently, India has topped the Intersect membership chart.

Chang is to go live anytime soon!

• Chang hard fork mainnet implementation is likely to go live next week, as per the previous notification from Intersect MBO. The majority of stake pool operators have already switched to Node 9.1.0. However, partner tools, CEXs, wallets, and other crypto service providers could take a week to get Chang compliant.

Intersect: On-Chain Governance & Community Management

• The Chang upgrade will introduce a new era to the Cardano blockchain, which is also known as Voltaire. Intersect is a member-based organization that focuses on Cardano on-chain governance. Interim constitutional committee groups, DReps, and Intersect will review community feedback before going live with the Chang announcement.

• The Chang hard fork also incorporates several bug fixes and enhancements to the CLI and API, including a "query treasury" command, and amendments to ensure compatibility with CIP69 and CIP119.

• On August 21, India topped IntersectMBO's (a member-based on-chain governance organization) membership chart, clocking 130 new members. “The success of Cardano Codex 2024 all around India has been amazing, serving as a hub for connecting with many young and talented developers in India. Hydra Doom makes waves at Rare Evo

Cardano Scaling: Hydra Head to DOOM on Hydra

At Las Vegas, Cardano’s Co-Founder Charles Hoskinson interacted with native project owners one-on-one and played the Hydra Doom game, built on top of the Hydra-Cardano-Scaling layer. He also announced a $1M challenge to hack Doom.

The scaling solution Hydra showcased an impressive transaction per second for the multiplayer game Doom at the recent Rare Evo 2024. At the event, Charles played the classic game, demonstrating every frame in the Doom as its transaction. Thousands of participants at this global blockchain event witnessed the power of Hydra's scaling solution.

Cardano Codex Heads to “Silicon Valley of India” for Demo Day

The nationwide Cardano hackathon has so far covered five Indian cities, namely Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, and Delhi. The hackathon has so far witnessed nearly 1000 developers and non-tech web3 participants. The next stop for the Cardano Codex Roadshow is Bangalore, the Silicon Valley of India. The hackathon is hosted by Nucast and funded by Project Catalyst. EMURGO Joins Forces with BEAMABLE

EMURGO and plug-and-play gaming marketplace, Beamable, have partnered to offer gaming solutions for the Cardano native game projects. Game developers will soon be able to integrate Cardano blockchain-based economies including automated on-chain transactions into their online games and virtual worlds using Beamable's marketplace.
